Sinossi

Nicola, figlio dei potenti coniugi Capulesi, soffre di 'piccolo male', una forma di epilessia relativamente rara.  In imbarazzo ed accompagnati da un forte senso di colpa, i genitori lo tengono segregato per anni. La storia si svolge a Terramare nel giorno dell'atteso Derby stracittadino quando Nicola, di natura angelica, ha 12 anni.
Si scatena un'assurda messinscena allorche' Enzo Capulesi, patron di una delle due squadre in citta', s'accorda per comprare la partita con l'aiuto della agguerrita moglie Iva e del fido ma degenerato braccio destro Gaetano.  Allo stesso tempo, la bella figlia Chiara, 17, ha una segreta storia d'amore con Lele, 24, leader degli Ultras dell'opposta fazione.
Quel giorno Nicola, ispirato dal fraterno Altan, figlio della domestica, se la fila col motorino della sorella per esplorare il mondo mentre la famiglia e' impegnata con gl'ospiti al ricevimento organizzato in occasione del Derby.  In un bizzarro incidente Lele si scontra con lo scooter Nicola nei pressi dello stadio ed entrambi si trovano coinvolti nei violenti scontri del pre partita tra ultras e forze dell'ordine.  Nicola ha la peggio.
La 'voce' che un ragazzino e' stato ammazzato dalla polizia ben presto raggiunge lo stadio mentre il corrotto tentativo dei Capulesi di comprare la partita viene scoperto.  Servendosi della notizia infondata e facendo leva sugli animi esasperati della Curva, i dirigenti della Lega riescono a sospendere la gara insabbiando l'inchiesta di corruzione proteggendo cosi' l'integrita' del sistema calcio.

Synopsis

After the birth of their child Nicola, the Capulesi's, a powerful couple realize that their son suffers of the Petit Mal Epilepsy.  Embarassed, and feeling great guilt they keep him hidden away for years.  The story takes place on the day of the much anticipated annual Derby when Nicola, as bright as an angel, is 12.  A mad charade ensues when the Capulesi's, owners of one of the cities rival soccer teams arrange to buy the game with the help of their trusted but screwed up lackie, Gaetano. Meanwhile their beautiful daughter, Chiara, is having a secret love affair with Lele, the head of the opposite teams Ultra's.  That day day Nicola, inspired by the brotherly son of the maid, sneaks out on his sisters bike to explore the world he has never seen.  Meanwhile the family is busy entertaining VIP's at a party for the Derby.  In a bizzaar accident with Lele, Nicola ends up seriously injured caught in the middle of a violent pre-game brawl just outside the stadium.
A rumor soon reaches the stadium that the police have killed a kid and at the same time the Capulesi's corporate corruption is uncovered.  Using the Ultra's, a secret plan is devised by the head of the League to stop the Derby and bury the evidence in order to protect the integrity of the game of soccer.  The Derby of the dead kid stops the heart of the city as Nicola's story finishes defining a contrast with a futile and empty way of life.
